The 5 Moncler Craig Green Collection will be showcased tonight taking over the second Moncler Jackets Sale floor of Kith NY. The show was one part of a global festival called Mondo Genius - a five - city presentation of collaborations with the eleven designers who, under Moncler's Genius program, bring their runway edge to the brand's puffy performance wear.
As Moncler tries to engineer a turnaround plan post, expanding into a new category could be helpful. The company has already reported that sales fell 18 percent in the first three months of the year.
In New York, man - about - town Kerwin Frost gave us his best stoop pose in a graphic jacket and a pair of larger - than - life swishy pants. The creative mind behind Moncler, Remo Ruffini, reached out to a group of creative voices that inspire him, and asked them one crucial question.
So why does Green think the Moncler project works so well What's kept him coming back for more (six times) "As a designer, I always think it's equally important to have an accessible reality to what you're doing, or a version that can be accessed. But it's also important to make people think, or push it forward in some way." Moncler asks its customers to do both, he said.
"I was really just trying to merge the DNA of Moncler and the DNA of Alyx," Williams tells me over the phone from Milan, where the collection launched earlier this week. "And to look at things that we do well, that they maybe haven't experimented with before." Which, well: ever since the collection first appeared, it was pretty clear that Williams had managed that merger successfully.
