On view are works from East Hampton icons like Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner, but Andy Warhol, Thomas Moran, Childe Hassam, Roy Lichtenstein, and Willem de Kooning are also accounted for among others. As a child, I was fascinated by seeing my mother do her makeup even though I would get impatient because she always took so long! I would sit and watch her getting ready and just think, Wow, she's so beautiful. An appreciation of beauty products was instilled in me. On the dinner table were tall, flickering candles and elegant flower arrangements of miniature apples and tomatoes foraged straight from Christiansen's seven-acre garden on the home grounds.
